Côte des Blancs is an area of A.O.C. Champagne, whose name refers to the white grapes. It is less high than Montagne de Reims, and extends over a territory of sickle form, north to south for over 20 km, up to Cote de Sézanne, located in the southern part. The chalky soil and the eastern exposition are similar to Verzenay in Montagne de Reims, but Pinot Noir here surrenders to Chardonnay.
For unintelligible reasons, the tasting polls confirm that these identical territories are adequate respectively for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
