Champagne Doyard
Monts Ferrés 2016

The Champagne Monts Ferrés 2016 is the brainchild of Charles Doyard. It is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay grapes selected and harvested from the same-name Lieu-Dit located near the village of Vertus, a Premier Cru in the well-known Côte des Blancs.

Vinification occurs in fût de chêne, maturation for over 5 years on its lees and a final dosage of just 1.2 g/l - making it an Extra Brut.

The Champagne Monts Ferrés 2016 opens in the glass with aromas of crisp nashi pear, yellow stone fruit, mirabelle plum, buttery pastry, honeycomb and oyster shell. On the palate it is full-bodied and pure, deep and enveloping, with a backbone of acidity, an ultra-refined mousse and a long, saline finish.

Produced in a limited edition of only 1,480 bottles and 120 magnums.

Champagne Doyard

Récoltant-Manipulant for four generations and vignerons for twelve generations, the Domaine Doyard is located in Vertus, a village in Côte des Blancs. The 10 hectares are spread over different prestigious locations: Vertus, Oger, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Avize, Cramant and Ay. The founder, Maurice Doyard, Yannick Doyard's grandfather, was a reference guide in the Champagne region, both a wine-grower leader and father of the CIVC (Comité Interprofessionel des Vins de Champagne). Yannick Doyard is actually managing the domaine with an annual production of 60,000 bottles.
