The Maison Henri Giraud has old origins: it all started in 1628 when the Hémart family settled down in Aÿ, Grand Cru in the heart of Vallée de la Marne. At the beginning of the 20th century, Léon Giraud got married with Madeleine Hémart and they rebuilt the family's vineyards, previously devasted by phylloxera.
The Maison is now experiencing its 13th vigneron generation with Emmanuelle, grand-niece of the founder, after which the cave is named. The annual production of the Maison Henri Giraud is about 260,000 bottles and is characterised by a personal idea of the use of wood in the different stages of vinification of each Cuvée.
